Long Beach Senior Housing Lands $80M
The assisted living and memory care community will open in early 2027.

Sunrise Senior Living and Quality Senior Housing Foundation Inc. have obtained $80 million in tax-exempt bond financing for Sunrise of Long Beach, an 86-unit luxury senior housing community in Long Beach, Calif.
JLL Capital Markets and HJ Sims arranged the financing through California Public Finance Authority Senior Living Revenue Bonds, Series 2025A.
Sunrise Development Inc. serves as the developer of the project, along with W.E. O’Neil Construction as general contractor and HPI Architecture handling design services. Completion is expected in early 2027.

Back in April, JLL and HJ Sims partnered to secure roughly $239.7 million in both tax-exempt and taxable bond financing for Integrated Senior Foundation. The funding supported the acquisition of a senior living community in Arizona and the development of two additional properties—one in Arizona and another in California. JLL also recently arranged a $38.4 million refinancing loan for The Lofts at Helmetta, a 200-unit adaptive reuse mid-rise apartment and townhome community located in Helmetta, N.J.
