Liv Communities Breaks Ground on Scottsdale Senior Housing
LivGenerations Mayo Blvd. will be a luxury community offering 181 units.
Construction has begun on LivGenerations Mayo Blvd., a luxury senior living community in Scottsdale, Ariz., that will have 181 units and provide independent living, assisted living and memory care for seniors. The property, comprising 285,212 square feet, is located less than 2 miles from the Mayo Clinic and is being developed by Liv Communities, with Ryan Cos. US Inc. serving as general contractor.

Upon completion in the third quarter of 2021, Liv Communities will be the operator. Todd & Associates is the architect of record and interiors were designed by Thoma-Holec Design.
The resort-style property will have 26 high-end casitas, 125 one- and two-bedroom independent and assisted living units and 30 memory care units. The continuum of care community will also have a fitness center, salon, full-service restaurant, pizza bar, outdoor dining patios, grab and go food options, dog park, swimming pool with cabanas, exercise area, outdoor kitchen, bocce ball court, putting green and garage parking.
The casitas will have two bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, balconies, high-end finishes and a garage. The residents will have access to all the amenities on the LivGenerations Mayo Blvd. grounds.
LivGenerations Mayo Blvd. will be the fourth senior living project in the Phoenix valley for Liv Communities. Liv Communities has developed 15 properties in the United States, including its fourth LivGenerations project in Arizona. In March, Ryan Cos. and Liv Communities opened LivGenerations Pinnacle Peak, a 110-unit which is now 80 percent occupied. That Scottsdale property totals 170,000 square feet and offers independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments.
More Developments
Last year, Ryan Cos.teamed with another developer, Grand Living, to open Grand Living at Bridgewater, an independent, assisted living and memory care senior community with 170 units in Coralville, Iowa. A second Iowa Grand Living project was under construction in nearby Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was slated for completion in early 2018.
Also in June 2018, Ryan Cos. and Grand Living announced they were developing two senior living communities in Texas: Grand Living at Riverstone, located in Sugar Land, Texas, and Grand Living at Georgetown, an Austin, Texas, suburb.
