Landmark Properties Opens 703-Bed Student Housing Property
The community serves students at the University of Oregon.
Landmark Properties has completed The Standard at Eugene, a 703-bed, 247-unit student housing development located near the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore., in time for the fall semester.
Located at 425 E. Broadway, it is Landmark’s first student housing community near the University of Oregon. It is just steps away from the campus and a quick walk from the Market District and downtown Eugene, where residents have access to dining, retail and entertainment offerings.
Landmark broke ground on the property in March 2022. The seven-story property has more than 265,000 square feet of space with a mix of studio to five-bedroom floorplans in fully furnished apartments. The units are prewired for high-speed internet and cable. They have stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, hardwood-style flooring and in-unit laundry. Amenities include an outdoor rooftop swimming pool, jumbotron and grilling areas as well as sections with hammocks and cabanas. The property also has a fitness center with an indoor rock climbing wall, academic lounge, private study rooms, resident club and game room and onsite parking.

The project is Landmark’s second student housing development in Oregon. The company delivered The Retreat at Corvallis near Oregon State University in fall 2015. Landmark also acts as third-party manager for Sierra Student Apartments, which is also near Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.
More New Projects
The Standard at Eugene is Landmark’s third student housing delivery for this academic year. Last month, Landmark announced the opening of The Metropolitan Tampa, a 759-bed, 276-unit student housing development at 2701 Fowler Ave. in Tampa, Fla. Landmark also recently completed The Metropolitan Tallahassee, a 702-bed, 217-unit mid-rise student housing community at 1701 West Pensacola St. in Tallahassee, Fla.
In May 2023, Landmark unveiled plans for The Mark Knoxville, an 834-bed student housing property in Knoxville, Tenn. It was its second project in a build-to-core joint venture with Manulife Investment Management announced in December 2022. The partnership broke ground on the project in June 2023. It is scheduled for completion in August 2025. It is located within walking distance to the University of Tennessee campus and is close to Neyland Stadium. Downtown Knoxville is less than a mile from the property.
Landmark topped out Standard at Philadelphia, an 18-story, 802-bedroom, 208-unit student housing property in Philadelphia, in March 2023. The community is located in the University City neighborhood near Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Landmark’s portfolio includes more than 115 residential communities across the country with 72,000 beds under management. The company has an active development pipeline with 23 student and multifamily projects under construction or near term start with an estimated value of more than $5 billion.
