KWA Construction Wraps Texas Apartment Project

General contractor KWA Construction has completed construction on The Village at Rayzor Ranch in Denton, Texas. The four-story, luxury apartment community is situated in the center of the highly-anticipated, very walkable 400-acre Rayzor Ranch Town Center mixed-use development, the first of its kind in Denton. The planned community will offer shopping, dining, office space, a health care facility, hotel, green space and numerous entertainment attractions. Developer EPC Real Estate Group selected KWA Construction, which specializes in the construction of apartment communities, as general contractor.

With an address at 3235 Heritage Trail Blvd., The Village at Rayzor Ranch totals 237,781 square feet and features 300 apartments in a blend of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. A pool with a pavilion and cabanas is likely to be among the best-used amenities. Features and finishes of apartments include marble countertops, open shelving, island kitchens, side-by-side refrigerators and tiled backsplashes.

In March, KWA Construction recently topped out a new apartment community in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Village at Rayzor Ranch was designed by Studio A Architecture, which drew its design inspiration from the distinctive setting of the Texas Hill Country.

Weather challenges

“By far, most of our challenges were weather related,” Brian Webster, president of KWA Construction, told Multi-Housing News.

“Multiple days of recurrent rain and the results of those weather-related delays had to be overcome in order to help the project complete on schedule. Our project team, including the owners and the subcontractors, took a very collaborative approach to come up with creative solutions together. This allowed for every team (being) involved to share ideas and help determine the best solutions supported by all parties.”
