KTGY Opens Orange County Luxury Community

Developer Quarterra Multifamily has opened Halcyon House, a 393-unit luxury community in the City of the Arts neighborhood of Costa Mesa, Calif. Developed in a partnership with architecture, branding, interior and planning firm KTGY, the six-story, two-building property also features 3,856 square feet of ground-floor retail. According to Yardi Matrix, the property is subject to a $125.8 million construction loan originated by Bank of America back in 2019. 

Halcyon House features a pedestrian bridge that links the two buildings on both the podium and ground floor, allowing access to nearby dining spots, retail destinations and galleries. The community has been designed to address the increasing demand for walkability within neighborhoods. As a result, the property has a walk score of 74 out of 100, which is nine points higher than Costa Mesa’s.

Located at 585 Anton Blvd., the property offers connectivity to the 405 freeway and is some 5 miles from downtown Costa Mesa. The John Wayne International Airport is within 3 miles from the property. The employment centers of Irvine, Calif., and the Newport Beach are also nearby.

In-demand amenities for the new generation of renters

A coworking lounge, a fitness and yoga center, two pools and spas, as well as multiple common areas for outdoor gatherings and entertainment and bicycle storage are among the property’s amenities. Additionally, the community features on-site electric vehicle charging stations, 24-hour concierge and 810 subterranean parking spaces.

Halcyon House offers one- and two-bedroom apartments and townhomes ranging from 670 to 2,052 square feet. Quartz countertops, smart thermostats, full-size washers and dryers, as well as patio and balcony spaces in select spaces are among the in-unit amenities.
