Inspirit Senior Living has purchased two senior housing communities in Pennsylvania. Both facilities have been previously owned and operated by LifeCare Holdings and The Weston Group Inc.
Creating a Regional Network
The Palmerton, formerly known as The Villages at Palmerton, is a 70-bed senior housing community located at 71 Princeton Ave. in Palmerton, Pa. The Willow is a 67-unit community located at 6488 Alburtis Road in Macungie, Pa. Both facilities offer personal and memory-care services. The company’s business model specializes in identifying and acquiring standalone senior housing communities and incorporating them into a regional network that can capture economies of scale. The aforementioned facilities mark the third and fourth acquisition for the company. Inspirit also revealed plans that it intends to renovate the newly purchased facilities.
“Our properties at Palmerton and Macungie are important parts of the fabric of those towns. Inspirit brings more than 25 years of business leadership to these communities, along with the human element that defines excellent seniors housing,” Joseph Cimerola, president & CEO of LifeCare Holdings, said in prepared remarks.
