Homeless Housing Project Underway in LA
Affirmed Housing and PATH Ventures broke ground on their third project, a 65-unit community slated for completion in summer 2018.

Affirmed Housing and PATH Ventures broke ground on their third project, PATH Metro Villas, which is slated for completion in 2018. The 65-unit permanent supportive housing building in Los Angeles targets low-income individuals who are either homeless or have a significant rent burden. UnitedHealthcare is the largest investor in the project with a $12 million commitment.
Located at 320-340 Madison Ave., just off Route 101, PATH Metro Villas is a three-phase housing and homeless services initiative spread over several years that will provide 187 permanent supportive affordable housing units in three housing development complexes.
The six-story building will offer studio and one-bedroom layouts at the new location. Out of the property’s 65 total units 51 will be designated as supportive housing units and 14 units will be for low-income households earning no more than 60 percent of the area median income. The community will provide veteran, property management and case management services. Site amenities include a communal kitchen, two rooftop terraces, laundry facilities, bicycle parking, a 2,800-square-foot community facility and a community room, as well as a large outdoor open plaza with tables, umbrellas, and grill barbecues.
“We are proud to again partner with PATH Ventures to develop housing for the homeless. Services will be provided to residents to help them acclimate and again contribute to society. The new development will enlarge and strengthen the PATH mall and their mission to serve the homeless,” said James Silverwood, president & CEO of Affirmed Housing, in prepared remarks.
