Griffis Residential has acquired EV Lofts, a 208-unit community in downtown San Diego. Walker & Dunlop represented the buyer, Greystar Real Estate Partners, which bought the property in 2015 for nearly $84 million, according to Yardi Matrix data.

Completed in 2015 by OliverMcMillan, EV Lofts is a luxury mid-rise building comprising studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, averaging 737 square feet. Community amenities include a rooftop deck, resident lounge, fitness center and dog park.

Located at 688 13th St., the property is less than a mile away from Petco Park, Gaslamp Quarter and East Village District, offering easy access to a variety of retail, dining and entertainment options. The San Diego Zoo is within 2 miles from the community.

Managing Directors Hunter Combs and Blake Rogers, alongside Senior Director Javier Riviera and Director Alexandra Caniglia represented the seller and procured the buyer.

EV Lofts marks Griffis Residential’s second purchase in metro San Diego. The firm now owns more than 500 units in the area, following last year’s $155.7 million acquisition of a 350-unit community in Mission Valley, Calif.
