Greystar Debuts Suburban Boston Property

This is the firm’s second of four communities in Everett, Mass., that will represent a total investment of $730 million.

Greystar and Partners Group have opened the 450-unit Anthem Everett property at 484 Second Street in the Commercial Triangle District of Everett, Mass., a suburb of Boston. The property’s first residents have begun moving in.

Anthem Everett is the second community to deliver as part of Greystar’s $730 million investment in the area. Construction on the property began a little over a year ago. The firm’s first multifamily project in Everett, the 330-unit Mason, opened last year at nearby 101 Mill Road. Greystar is also developing 384-unit Maxwell and 741-unit 1690 Revere Beach Parkway in the neighborhood.

Most of the units in Greystar’s Everett projects are market rate. In total, the Everett projects will contribute more than 100 affordable units to Everett. Five percent of Anthem Everett’s units are affordable.


The property includes studios as well as one- and two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 464 square feet to 1,143 square feet. It also features a parking garage with 564 spaces and about 6,500 square feet of ground floor retail. Unit amenities include oversized windows and closets, kitchen pantries, quartz countertops, keyless entry and Honeywell smart thermostats.

Common-area amenities include a fitness center, yoga studio and a golf simulator lounge. There is also a courtyard pool with cabana seating, grilling stations and a firepit, as well as a climbing wall, an outdoor theater area and a landscaped dog park.

U.S. Bank provided a $126.3 million construction loan for the development in March 2022, ahead of the spike in interest rates.
