Go Store It Goes For Longwood

The facility is located in one of the region's fastest-growing areas.

Go Store It Self Storage has opened an 800-unit, 83,000-square-foot self storage facility at 1900 S. US Highway 17-92 in Longwood, Fla. The property is in one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing areas.

This new location offers both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled rentable space for both residential and commercial customers. The 5.03-acre facility Orlando also has covered parking for vehicles, boats and RVs, in addition to 24-hour surveillance and controlled access. The property has immediate access to Interstate 4 and State Road 434.

In August, Go Store It Self Storage merged with Snapbox Self Storage. The companies combined to oversee more than 10 million square feet of storage space at 145 locations in 23 states.

Everybody loves Longwood

Longwood is considered one of the top-ranked cities for business in Seminole County, with steady population growth and strong income levels. Among the leading local employers are South Seminole Hospital, FedEx, UPS and a network of industrial parks such as the Florida Central Commerce Park.

In February, Longwood was the location for one of five storage facilities bought by Strategic Storage Growth Trust III Inc. Located at 460 Florida Central Parkway, the 1988-built property covers roughly 68,800 net rentable square feet, with approximately 560 ground-level, climate-controlled units across eight single-story buildings.

Investment in self storage continues apace despite slumping fundamentals. According to Yardi Matrix’s Self Storage National Report from March 2025, tanking occupancy, street rates and occupancy are the main culprits. Street rates have fallen steadily by 0.8 percent year-over-year, and the nation’s under-construction pipeline of 740 properties is a 10-basis-point decline from February. That supply is expected to drop precipitously over the next two years, by 18 and 8 percent in 2026 and 2027 respectively.
