Orlando, Fla.—New York-based residential and hospitality developer GDC Properties has announced that leasing has started at the company’s new six-story, 246-unit luxury community in downtown Orlando’s North Quarter neighborhood.
The mixed-use community will be one of the first in the North Quarter neighborhood to seek LEED certification and includes a 200kW rooftop photovoltaic system and other innovated construction solutions and materials.
NORA—an acronym for North Orange Avenue—is designed to appeal to both professionals and families that are looking for a luxurious living experience with convenient transit, commute and neighborhood options.
“We designed NORA to appeal to professional individuals or families who seek a luxury urban lifestyle within a community that brings all the conveniences to their doorstep,” says GDC Properties’ co chairman Adam Ginsburg. “We are confident that it will also be the most sought after address in downtown Orlando.”
The community’s 10 distinct floor plan vary between one- and two-bedroom options and range in size from 691 square feet to more than 1,400 square feet.
Architectural features within the units include 9-foot ceilings, panoramic windows, walk-in closets and full concrete construction for sound reduction. The design elements include porcelain tile in living and bathroom spaces, kitchens with stainless steel appliances, deep basin under-mounted sinks, contemporary cabinetry with quartz countertops and large pantries. Select units include movable islands with drawers and wine racks. Additionally, each unit is pre-wired for AT&T U-verse and Bright House and includes ENERGY STAR washer and dryers.
The community’s amenities package includes a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor common space. The courtyard is the hub of the outdoor amenities and includes a resort-style pool with an illuminated infinity-edge and poolside fountain. That area also includes day beds; two shade structures with sectional seating barbecue grills, and a fire pit and ping-pong table.
Indoors, residents have access to the community’s clubroom, which includes a pool table, furniture for lounging and a 120-inch video wall. A 24-hour strength, conditioning and Yoga studio is available, as are pet grooming stations. Wi-Fi is available in the amenity areas as well.
The retail component will include a Coffee Culture Café that is scheduled to open this fall. Other spaces will include a restaurant and tavern and other street-front shops.
