Flagstaff Storage Expands Arizona Facility

The self storage property now comprises more than 1,150 units.

Flagstaff Storage LLC has added 270 self storage units to its Flagstaff Ranch facility, raising the total number of units at the Flagstaff, Ariz., facility to 1,158.

Flagstaff Ranch covers a 13-acre site, making it the largest self storage property in Northern Arizona. The facility came online in 2015 and has been expanding ever since, with its newest phase slated for completion at the end of this year.

New units feature drive-up storage units of either 50 or 100 square feet. Other features at the gated facility include first-floor climate-controlled storage, indoor RV and boat storage and 24-hour video surveillance. Apart from the newest additions, units range between 25 and 810 square feet. Flagstaff Ranch also offers 20-square-foot lockers.

The facility is at 2600 S Flagstaff Ranch Road, near Historic Route 66 and close to interstates 40 and 17. Downtown Flagstaff and the Northern Arizona University campus are less than 4 miles away.

Although the Flagstaff facility is currently overbuilt having a 45 percent occupancy rate, the surplus of units will serve the area’s residents in the years to come, according to the company. In a recent Multi-Housing News outlook, experts are optimistic about the self storage sector in 2025, expecting stabilized occupancy, higher rental rates and increased investment sales.
