J.D. Carlisle Development Corp., in partnership with DLI Real Estate Capital Partners and Mitsui Fudosan America Inc., have announced the leasing of One Sixty Madison, found at the nexus of Chelsea, Gramercy and Midtown.
Reaching 45-stories, One Sixty Madison offers 319 rental residences including studios and one- and two-bedroom homes. SLCE Architects created a unique octagonal structure with interiors of “sophistication and wit” by Philip Koether Architects. The harmony of their individual talents creates a beautiful rental property with remarkable attraction inside and out. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the property.
One Sixty Madison’s signature octagon shape – the first and only of its kind in Manhattan – coupled with its unique 45 degree angle to the Avenue, create extraordinary views of the city that don’t align with the grid.
“This first-ever, octagonal design breaks with the typical New York City street wall,” said Evan Stein, president of J.D. Carlisle Development Corp. “The brilliant way the architects placed the footprint of the tower at an angle lets our tenants experience Manhattan’s skyline from a unique perspective with living rooms facing northeast at the Chrysler building and northwest towards the Empire. These vantage points are unlike anything else out there.”
Residences are doused in natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows, many 12 feet high, accented by White Oak floors and thoughtful details. Layouts offer remarkably furnishable and spacious residences with most able to hold dining tables for up to eight people. The octagon shape provides corner residences with triple panoramic view exposures.
One Sixty Madison has more than 20,000 feet of amenity spaces, showcasing the Three Sixty Lounge atop the building over 525 feet in the air with an indoor fireplace and two extensive rooftop terraces with incredible views of the city’s greatest landmarks. Residents also have access to the nearly 14,000 square feet Park Lounge which is surrounded by the building’s elevated and landscaped private park.
Other amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center overlooking the private park, valet and concierge services, bicycle storage and a fully attended lobby.
“We’ve created something exceptional, right in the heart of NoMad, that outshines all other living experiences in Manhattan,” said Cliff Finn, EVP at Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. “The elegance and sophistication of the building are a step above the rest.”
