New York—Manhattan is famous for its skyscrapers, but these are usually office buildings. But with the launch of 1214 Fifth Avenue, which has 53 stories, the Upper East Side is getting its tallest luxury rental building.
1214 Fifth Avenue, which is located on Museum Milke, offers views of Central Park and the Hudson River. The community, which is being developed by Related Companies, was designed by Pilli Clarke Pelli Architects and built by Durst Fetner Residential. The building’s entrance will feature a drive-through courtyard, which allows cars to access the lobby. The lobby will also feature commissioned works of art and bronze statues.
Amenities will feature stainless steel appliances, dishwashers and in-unit washers and dryers for a majority of the units. The building will feature an entertainment lounge, billiards table, bar, kitchen and media room. Additionally, there will be a fitness center with private locker facilities and an indoor pool with a lifeguard on staff.
Residents of the building will have access to additional luxury amenities such as personal assistants, a 24-hour concierge, on-site valet and move-in coordinator. They will also be able to pay their rent online with a credit card or through an automatic pay program.
Monthly rents for 1214 Five Avenue range from $2,595 for studios, $4,025 for one-bedroom units, $5,195 for convertible two-bedroom units, $6,095 for corner two-bedroom units and $8,995 for three-bedroom units.
“1214 Fifth Avenue offers the rare opportunity to rent a home with a Fifth Avenue address,” Daria Salusbury, senior vice president, Related Companies, said in a press statement. “The incomparable views, gracious amenities, superior services and iconic address make this building the epitome of luxury rental living. Our awe-inspiring homes will lure discerning renters looking for a true uptown gem.”
