Dominion Senior Living Breaks Ground on SC Community

The $9.5 million, 44,000-square-foot project in Anderson will offer 45 assisted living and 15 memory care apartments.

DSL Anderson GB 5Construction is underway on Dominion Senior Living of Anderson, a new assisted living and memory care community from Dominion Senior Living. The $9.5 million, 44,000-square-foot project is located at 3461 North Highway 81 in Anderson, S.C., and will offer 45 assisted living and 15 memory care apartments.

We feel Anderson, S.C., is a perfect location for a faith-based, innovative assisted living community,” Dominion Senior Living of Anderson Executive Director Lindsey Daugherty told MHN. “Anderson is growing rapidly, and with a deep-rooted Christian population we will fill a community need. This is going to be a phenomenal community in this vibrant town, and we’re looking forward to opening our doors to serve seniors and their families.

The community will feature all-inclusive monthly rental rates without requiring a length-of-stay commitment. Laundry services, transportation services, home-style meals, Wi-Fi, 24-7 surveillance monitoring, personalized care services, life enrichment programs, on-site medical assistance and therapy services are part of the all-inclusive package.

The future site of Dominion Senior Living of Anderson is beautiful with picturesque views,” Daugherty said. “The 29621 ZIP code is a very desirable family-friendly area. It’s conveniently located within minutes of Interstate 85 and the East-West Connector. Dominion Senior Living of Anderson will be built in close proximity to the hospital district, churches, shopping, dining, and Anderson’ s historic downtown, rich in arts and culture. We recently broke ground and are excited to bring this community to Anderson.”

Any new project brings challenges, Daugherty said. “We focus on what our residents, families, and associates will need, and the rest will work out,” she added. “When you develop with the end result in mind, which is providing a safe and quality two-story community offering 45 assisted living and 15 memory care apartments for residents to enjoy, you cannot fail. Dominion Senior Living of Anderson is expected to open in the summer of 2018.”

Dominion’s collaborative approach to senior living sets it apart from other communities in the area, said Dominion Senior Living president Mark Taylor. “Every detail of the community is carefully considered and designed with the help of experts to offer a safe, secure and peaceful environment,” he added.

We not only build relationships between our residents and team, we seek to make each day meaningful and enriching. Our goal is to ensure that the residents have a true sense of purpose.”

Added Daugherty: “While we are a business, we put God first in all we do. Our goal is to provide an assisted living community to serve our seniors, our associates and the town of Anderson. We invest love and care into those three entities. If we do all of this well, our return will be fulfilled.”
