Decorus Debuts Interchangeable Lighting System
The new product allows the user to swap diffuser shades to produce a variety of illumination effects.
Decorus Lighting has introduced a new interchangeable decorative lighting system, which features diffuser shades that can be swapped out for new looks to produce a variety of lighting effects. The system differs from traditional light fixtures in that the light source, an LED base unit, is decoupled from the decorative shade diffuser, allowing the user to change the lighting style without going through a costly reinstallation and rewiring process.
The products are designed for use in houses and apartments in addition to commercial settings, such as hotels, restaurants and offices. Upon installation of the energy-efficient light base on a ceiling or wall junction box, the user can choose among a range of handcrafted diffuser shades with different colors, textures and shapes to mount on the base. Diffuser shades can later be switched out with ease. Light bulbs are not required, as dedicated LED diodes are integrated into the fixture builds.
Lighting is often an afterthought in designing a multifamily community, but renters notice its impact on a space, particularly in apartments that lack abundant natural light.
