Crescent Communities is kicking off the construction of NOVEL Ballantyne, its 14th community in Charlotte, N.C. The development’s first units, along with its leasing office, are slated for delivery in March 2023.

The 285-unit community will consist of three five-story buildings, featuring a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom floorplans. Community amenities are planned to include a clubroom, fitness center, social lawn, dog park and pool.

Architecture firm 505 Design, alongside landscape architect and civil engineer LandDesign, interior designer Vignette, MEP engineer McVeigh + Magnum, and structural engineer Ellinwood + Machado are all part of the team.

Located at 15825 Marvin Road, the development is adjacent to Johnston Road and the several dining and retail options alongside it, including Sprouts Farmers Market, a CVS and the Shoppers at Ardrey Kell shopping mall, all situated less than 1 mile from the development.

The property is the latest addition to the company’s NOVEL brand, which launched in 2017. This summer, Crescent Communities formed a joint venture with MAA and broke ground on NOVEL Daybreak, a 400-unit community in Salt Lake City. More recently, in Charlotte, NOVEL LoSo Station started leasing and NOVEL University Place broke ground. The company also owns the 346-unit NOVEL Atherton, also in metro Charlotte, according to Yardi Matrix data.
