Corvias Military Living Donates AmTryke to Resident in Military Community
In 2012, Mountain Metro AMBUCS approached Corvias Military Living about purchasing an AmTryke for a person belonging to the military community.
Fort Sill, Okla.—In 2012, Mountain Metro AMBUCS approached Corvias Military Living about purchasing an AmTryke for a person belonging to the military community. AmTryke’s are therapeutic tricycles produced by AMBUCS that are fitted to someone based on their abilities and disabilities. AMBUCS is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.
Corvias knew that their resident, 13 year old Dylan O’Berry living at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, was a perfect match. After reaching out to the O’Berry’s when they first moved onto Fort Sill a year ago, the team saw that Dylan would greatly benefit from having a specialized ramp. As a result, they constructed one for Dylan to make coming and going from home a much easier process. AMBUCS then further helped Dylan by selecting him as the recipient of a Corvias sponsored AmTryke.
On May 14th at the Mountain Metro AMBUCS chapter meeting, Corvias Military Living presented Dylan with his brand new AmTryke.
