Cortland Partners Acquires Luxury Atlanta Portfolio
Home at The Battery Atlanta encompasses three communities—Parkside, The Residences and The Flats. The seller was a joint venture between Pollack Shores Real Estate Group and Braves Development Co.
Cortland Partners has acquired Home at The Battery Atlanta, three luxury apartment communities located within The Battery Atlanta, a 1.5 million-square-foot mixed-use destination. A joint venture between Pollack Shores Real Estate Group and Braves Development Co. sold the property.
Home at The Battery Atlanta comprises 531 units totaling 485,000 square feet, dispersed among Parkside, The Residences and The Flats. Units offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 619 to 1,528 square feet. Interior apartment features include designer finishes, open kitchens, stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring, wraparound balconies and views of SunTrust Park. Occupancy for Home at The Battery Atlanta is currently at 90 percent. Common area amenities among the three properties include:

- entertainment center with game room

Mixed-use destination
The partnership between the Braves and Pollack Shores has inspired a new era of sports-anchored mixed-use developments that incorporate multifamily living options, with more than 12 similar projects now in the pipeline in cities like Detroit and Los Angeles.
“Home at the Battery Atlanta is a flourishing neighborhood that offers an unmatched living experience and serves as a blueprint for similar sports-anchored concepts now taking shape,” said Mike Plant, president & CEO of Braves Development Co., in a prepared statement.
The Battery Atlanta also features an Omni Hotel, the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, a variety of restaurants and more than 700,000 square feet of retail and office space. The property is also home to One Ballpark Center, Comcast’s regional office headquarters housing its Innovation Lab.
German elevator maker Thyssenkrupp Elevator also has plans to build a 420-foot tall testing tower that will serve as the company’s North American headquarters inside the community. A pedestrian bridge connects The Battery Atlanta to nearby Cobb Galleria. The community is within close proximity to with the property’s location at the corner of Interstates 75 and 285 allowing for easy access to and from anywhere in Atlanta.
