AV Rendering-1Haddon Twp., N.J.—Full-service residential and commercial real estate company, Walters Group, has announced that it has kicked-off construction on a new 82-unit luxury rental project, Albertson Village, in the Westmont section of Haddon Township in Camden County, N.J.—about 20 minutes from Philadelphia.

The project is located at West Albertson Avenue just off of Haddon Avenue and is the former location of the former Russell Cast Stone cement factory. Walters Group began improving the site earlier this spring after having been vacant for more than 10 years. The company plans to build a LEED-certified community utilizing environmentally friendly “green” technologies for its construction.

“We are pleased to be moving forward on this project,” says Ed Walters Jr., founder and partner of Walters Group. “After sitting idle for many years, this parcel of land was in need of redevelopment.”

Once completed, community’s four, three-story buildings will offer an assortment of one- and two-bedroom apartments with some that include optional loft spaces and upgraded interiors, granite kitchen countertops and Energy Star appliances. Eight of the 82 units will be offered as affordable housing.

The amenities package is slated to include a community clubhouse with a 24-hour fitness center. Each building will include elevators and resident parking garages will also be available.
