Multifamily real estate developer Wood Partners has broken ground on Alta Riverside, a luxury residential community in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Irving, Texas. Located near the intersection of President George Bush Turnpike and IH-635, Alta Riverside is slated to begin preleasing in May of 2023 and to welcome residents two months later.

The development will feature 280 apartment homes, which will be offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom configurations. Features and finishes of residences are to include granite countertops, upgraded fixtures, soft-close cabinets, wood-style flooring and built-in Bluetooth speakers. A resort style swimming pool with tanning ledges is among the amenities that will be offered to residents.

Residents will have convenient access to the newest master-planned community in the Metroplex, Cypress Waters. That development features 45,000 square feet of storefront retail and more than a dozen restaurants arrayed around a tranquil 300-acre lake.

Also well within easy reach is Dallas Galleria, providing more than 200 stores and restaurants. Retailers include Macy’s, Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton and more. Residents will also find many of the Dallas-Fort Worth-area’s leading job centers nearby, including Fluor, Citi, Verizon and McKesson. Another major employer, Wells Fargo, recently announced a new 800,000-square-foot facility that will add an additional 4,000 employment positions to the region.

In a prepared statement, a Wood Partners official noted Alta Riverside isn’t the only property the company will develop in the near term in Northern Texas. This year, Wood Partners will launch construction on more than 1,100 units across the region. It plans to expand its corporate footprint across the growing North Texas marketplace.

Two months ago, Touro Co. acquired two properties in Irvine, Texas.
