CityView and Access Capital Advisers Invest in Urban Infrastructure

Los Angeles--CityView and Access Capital Advisers have formed CVAE, a joint venture to invest in urban infrastructure in the United States.

Los Angeles–CityView, an institutional investment firm focused on urban real estate, in-city housing, and metropolitan infrastructure, and Access Capital Advisers have formed CVAE, a joint venture to invest in urban infrastructure in the United States. CVAE will provide investors with improved access to infrastructure investment in the United States by combining Access’ international infrastructure investment experience with CityView’s investment and development experience in urban markets.

Dr. David Chessell, chairman of Access Capital Advisers, says in a statement, “The continued need for investment in infrastructure, coupled with the strained budgets and restricted borrowing capabilities of state and local governments and authorities across the United States, requires innovative approaches for funding infrastructure.”

CVAE will invest in all classes of infrastructure assets with initial emphasis on direct investments of subordinated debt in municipal projects, as well as equity in public private partnerships. It will initially focus on critical core infrastructure projects in North America’s urban job centers and investment opportunities at the lower end of the risk spectrum.
