Multi-Housing News recently took a trip to downtown Brooklyn for a property tour of The Brodsky Organization’s City Tower. Designed by Cook + Fox, the community begins 20 floors up, offering 440 units across 28 floors, including penthouses.

The lobby’s feature wall is crafted with soft wood joists reclaimed from a warehouse in Williamsburg. The chandeliers are custom built in Lindsay Adelman’s Brooklyn workshop and the furnishings come from other local businesses. The corridors are adorned with a custom wall covering by Brooklyn-based Flavor Paper.

Apartment floorplans include studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts. Interior features include integrated panelized refrigerators and dishwashers, custom cabinets, white quartz countertops, under-cabinet lighting, floor-to-ceiling picture windows, oversized floating vanities, custom open shelving, mosaic tile, taupe linen flooring, five-inch-wide oak plank flooring, high ceilings, track lighting and in-unit washer/dryers.

Luxury Amenity Spaces

City tower offers 23,000 square feet of double height spaces and landscaped sundecks. The resident lounge includes floor-to-ceiling glass, 15-foot ceilings, a kitchen, computer, seating area, TV viewing space and access to the 18th floor roof deck, which offers a community garden, bocce ball, barbecue stations, sun lounges and seating. On that same floor is also the 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center with a built-in basketball court that is surrounded by full heights of glass, as well as a private event space that residents can rent out for a variety of events. The second roof deck, located on the 43rd floor, is dedicated to sunbathing and skyline views.

The tower sits upon the 700,000-square-foot City Point, Brooklyn’s premiere destination for retail, entertainment and dining. Major tenants include the Artisanal Food Market Hall, Alamo Draft House Cinema, Armani Exchange, Target and Century 21. The Brodsky Organization has partnered with some of the neighborhood business owners to offer tenants discounts on a variety of goods including Belle Cheese, Barber’s Blueprint, Betty Bakery, House of Wax, Jianbing Co., Opalia Flowers, Two Tablespoons and more. Residents also have access to special offers through Brodsky such as coupons for food delivery, moving boxes, cleaning subscriptions, clothing stores and pet services.
