Denver—A brand new apartment community will rise at the site of the former Mile High United Way headquarters in Denver in the fall. Southern Land Co. of Tennessee recently unveiled new details for Centric LoHi, its 302-unit project in the city’s Lower Highland neighborhood.
The development will include two separate buildings featuring studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment homes at 18th and Central streets. The site was the home of Mile High United Way from the mid-1980s until the company finally moved to a brand new facility in the fall of 2014, according to DenverInfill. Southern Land purchased the asset in 2013.
Centric LoHi will include a plethora of amenities, including a rooftop deck, courtyard areas with fire pits, game room, wine lounge, heated saltwater pool, 24-hour fitness center, as well as onsite dog washing and grooming areas. The community will also provide covered bicycle and ski storage and underground parking. The EV Studios-designed property will feature 302 units ranging in size from 496 to 1,312 square feet, according to Denver Real Estate Watch.
“Centric LoHi will be the epicenter of Denver’s desirable Lower Highland neighborhood, and its name reflects that distinction,” Cindy DeFrancesco, senior vice president of multifamily operations at Southern Land, said in a prepared statement. “This ideal location will enable residents to walk or bike to restaurants, bars, events and nearby farmers’ markets.”
A temporary leasing office for the community opened May 23 at 1671 Central St. Southern Land has tapped Property Manager Matthew Stewart to manage the property.
