Buongiorno, Miami—Milan Meets Magic City Flatiron Condo
CMC Group’s 64-story luxury tower is on track to become one of the tallest residential buildings in Miami once competed in 2018.

Developer Ugo Colombo’s CMC Group teamed up with Italian designer Massimo Iosa Ghini to spice up the Brickell Flatiron condominium project with a dose of Milan’s style. The 64-story luxury tower at 1001 South Miami Ave. is on track to become one of the tallest all-residential buildings south of the New York market with the rooftop deck perched 736 feet above street level.
Massimo Iosa Ghini—founder of Bologna- and Milan-based Iosa Ghini Associati—designed the IBM Executive Briefing Center in Rome, Ferrari’s flagship store in Milan as well as several of the car manufacturer’s showrooms in New York, Los Angeles, Beijing, Hong Kong and Bahrain. The designer has also collaborated on Alitalia Airline’s airport terminal; several hotels in Budapest, Nice and Bari; the Kröpcke Hannover metro station in Germany; and the Galleria Ferrari Museum in Maranello, among other projects.
The Brickell Flatiron will include 549 luxury residences with one- to five-bedrooms, and a limited range of penthouse and duplex options measuring up to 6,220 square feet. All units will be fitted with all glass elliptical balconies, premium imported Italian finishes and professional grade German appliances. The building’s common areas and amenity deck on the 17th and 18th floors will feature a resort-style lap pool, movie theater, wine room, event space, play room and a business center, all of which will be spread across the indoor and outdoor spaces. Residents will also have access to private sauna, steam and locker facilities, as well as a 6,300-square-foot gym. The 64th floor Sky Spa will include a rooftop pool, spa and another fitness center.

Now more than 50 percent sold, Brickell Flatiron is set to break ground later this fall. The tower is scheduled for completion in 2018. Pre-construction sales are currently underway, with prices averaging about $750 per square foot.
