Berkadia Secures Financing for Texas Student Housing

Berkadia has secured $31.7 million financing for the student housing community, The Junction at College Station, located in College Station, Texas. The property serves students attending nearby Texas A&M University. Managing Director Thomas Genetti of Berkadia’s Birmingham, Ala., office arranged the Freddie Mac permanent loan, which carries a 10-year term. 

The property is located at 2415 Junction Boys Road. The community provides convenient access to Highway 6, Harvey Mitchell Parkway and shopping centers and restaurants beside Wellborn Road.

Junction at College Station offers residents a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom units featuring in-unit washer dryers and private bathrooms for each bedroom. Resident amenities include a resort-style pool, sand volleyball court, clubhouse, fitness center, steam room, sauna, pet washing station, pool house and business center. Additional amenities include outdoor cabanas, conference rooms and a shuttle service station. 

Earlier this month, Berkadia represented the seller in the disposition of The Villas, a 39-unit townhome community in Woodinville, Wash.
