BBX Capital Sells FL Student Housing Asset

Serving students at Florida State University, the 82-unit luxury Tallahassee community encompasses 15 two-story buildings and was completed in 2008.

Villa San Michele, a 272-bed student housing community located in Tallahassee, Fla., has changed hands. BBX Capital Corp.’s division BBX Capital Real Estate sold the property for $9.3 million.

Built in 2008, the 82-unit community consists of 15 two-story buildings located at 1694 Baldwin Park Drive, serving students at Florida State University, which is situated approximately 10 minutes away. Various shopping, dining and entertainment venues, including Florida State University Rec SportsPlex, Turner Auditorium and Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, are located nearby.

The pet-friendly student housing property offers a mix of three- and four-bedroom units ranging from 1,358 to 1,683 square feet. Common-area amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, dog park, clubhouse, business center and a total of 180 parking spaces.
