Israel Leyva Architects’ diverse practice also includes hotel, mixed-use and educational projects and the firm has extended its services beyond New York to other markets including Costa Rica, Mexico, China and Qatar. Currently the firm is working on a plan for a Veracruz Waterfront Park located at Boca del Rio in the City of Veracruz. This is his first commission in his native Mexico and he envisions this new park as a gateway to the sea.

Ismael Leyva, AIA is president of Ismael Leyva Architects, an international architecture, interior design and urban planning firm based in New York City. Recognized for his work by the Skyscraper Museum, Leyva has built numerous award-winning residential and commercial projects in New York, including the luxury residences at the Time Warner Center, the Battery Maritime Building and the Tribeca Royale. The Charles, a 32-story condo building developed by Bluerock, celebrated its topping out in March. Leyva is also working on an office building and an extensive waterfront park project in his native Veracruz, Mexico.
