Austin, Texas—Auction.com, an online real estate marketplace, today announced it will open an office in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 3. The office will be the company’s first location dedicated to client management and business development, and will draw upon the wealth of local talent in the heart of Texas’s technology hotbed.
Auction.com’s Austin office will be located in 7,000 square feet of the Stone Lake Office Park at 4030 West Braker Lane. It will be led by Downs Deering, senior vice president of VIP Operations, who joined the company in July from Waste Management, and Michael Dean, vice president of Residential Sales, who recently joined Auction.com from Hewlett Packard.
Auction.com has already hired several sales and business development executives in Austin from companies including Dell, LegalZoom, and Bazaarvoice, and expects to hire up to 40 employees by year-end.
