Houston—Asset Plus Companies, along with Meeks + Partners, recently celebrated the grand opening of The Lofts at Wolf Pen Creek, a 679-bed mixed-use student housing community.

The property, which is located 1.5 miles east of the campus of Texas A & M University, is currently 98 percent leased.

“The project adds a new residential destination and unmatched amenities found in student housing apartment communities in College Station, Texas,” says Donald J. Meeks, chairman of Meeks + Partners. “The Lofts at Wolf Pen Creek adds a new forward-looking conception of College Station, while acknowledging the city’s tradition and context. We wanted to create an innovative and uplifting destination that would inspire its residents and the local citizens.”

The 8.6-acre site features a four-story stucco and brick structure, offering 253 stacked flats and 11 townhouses arranged around landscaped courtyards, adjacent to a seven-level structured parking garage, as well as more than 9,000 square feet of grade-level retail space, a Texas A & M metro shuttle stop and three private courtyards. The principal corner area of the retail space features an outdoor café.

Next to the commercial space is a 13,840 square-foot state-of-the-art clubhouse, which offers a game room, theater, Wi-Fi Internet café and business center, a cardio room and tanning rooms. The main courtyard features a resort-style pool and spa, an outdoor fireplace, and sand volleyball court, lounging and entertainment areas.

The development offers one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units, ranging from 545 square feet to 1,575 square feet. Two-bedroom/two-and-a-half bath townhouses offer 1,035 square feet of space. Certain units have private terraces, pool tables and game rooms.
