Apartment Jobs Snapshot for February 2020

In February’s edition of NAAEI’s Apartment Jobs Snapshot, over 11,500 apartment jobs were available, accounting for 39.7 percent of the broader real estate sector. Jacksonville, Fla.; Austin, Texas; Kansas City, Mo.; Houston, and San Antonio, Texas; had the highest share of apartment job openings. This month’s edition highlights leasing consultants, with market salaries in the 90^th percentile reaching $36,593. The demand for skilled leasing consultants was three times the U.S. average in Austin, Texas; Raleigh, N.C.; Denver, and Seattle. In addition to requiring typical leasing skills, employers are seeking talent with Yardi Software, Microsoft Office, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
