AOG, Taurus Kick Off 348-Unit Austin Project
Evergreen is part of a 2,000-acre master-planned community.
Allied Orion Group Living, partnering with Taurus Investment Holdings, has broken ground on The Evergreen at Whisper Valley, a 348-unit multifamily project in Manor, Texas, near Austin. The development team also includes designer The Sage Group.
Located at 16601 E. Braker Lane, the project is less than 3 miles from Pickle Parkway, as well as some 5 miles from Lake Walter E. Long, while downtown Austin is roughly 15 miles to the southwest. Employers such as Amazon, Apple, Tesla and IBM are all within some 20 miles of the property. Just a few miles away, Camber Ranch, a 483-unit multifamily community owned by Legacy Partners and Bridge Investment Group, just wrapped up construction.

The 348-unit Class A community will comprise one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Apartments are slated to feature smart-living technology while community features will comprise a clubhouse, a fitness center, a pool, EV charging stations, a business center and a bicycle workshop. The project will aim for National Green Building Standards’ Bronze criteria, as well as an Austin Green Building 2-star rating.
The 2,067-acre Whisper Valley, which got Austin’ Master-Planned Community of the Year and Project of the Year awards in 2021 as part of the Austin Green Awards, is the largest sustainable master-planned development in the U.S. that uses geothermal infrastructure and photovoltaic panels, according to Allied Orion. The Valley’s plans include retail and office space, dining areas, schools and a fire station. The Evergreen is the first multifamily project to take root in Whisper Valley.
