Anthology Senior Living has turned once again to Cadence McShane Construction Co. to build another senior housing project. The company broke ground on Anthology of Highland Park, a 121-unit development in Dallas, with delivery slated for mid-2023.

The developer acquired the 0.7-acre, four-parcel development site in September, also securing construction financing at that time. First National Bank of Omaha provided the $41.7 million loan maturing in September 2026 for the 130,000-square-foot project, Dallas County records show.

The 11-story PRDG-designed development will take shape at 4215 Herschel Ave. and feature 97 assisted living units along with 24 memory care units on the second floor. The assisted living units will be available in studio, one- and two-bedroom configurations.

Planned amenities include a theater, a library, a pub with a fireplace, a fitness center, a salon and various dining spots as well as three terraces on different floors. The property will also have 58 parking spaces.

Nestled within the Highland Park neighborhood, the development is within 3 miles of UT Southwestern Medical Center and within a mile of the Knox Street retail corridor. Downtown Dallas is 5 miles south.
