Affordable LA Community Opens 1st Phase
Affirmed Housing Group and PATH Ventures have finished work on a 65-unit development dedicated to formerly homeless individuals. The building is part of a 187-unit project.

Co-developers Affirmed Housing and PATH affiliate PATH Ventures have opened phase one of PATH Metro Villas in Los Angeles. Individuals that previously struggled with homelessness will occupy the project’s first 65 units.
Located at 340 N. Westmoreland Ave. in the metro’s Silverlake submarket, the David T.C. Ho Family building includes 33 studios and 31 one-bedroom units as well as a two-bedroom apartment for the manager. Community rooms, counseling and case management offices as well as a Veterans Connections Center for veteran services are also part of the project. The property is included in a supportive-housing development that is set to encompass 187 units, a primary healthcare clinic and a mental health clinic by March 2020.
Funding for the project came from UnitedHealthcare and Enterprise. UnitedHealthcare provided $12 million in low-income housing tax credit equity through a partnership with Enterprise Housing Credit Investments. The company has secured more than $400 million in financing throughout the country for affordable housing project, including $5.4 million for Harmony @Grandview Commons, a 94-unit affordable housing property that recently opened in Madison, Wis.
Other private and public funding partners include the California Department of Housing & Community Development, City of Los Angeles Housing & Community Investment Department, Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, JP Morgan Chase Bank and California Community Reinvestment Corp.
