Woodfield Starts Work on Tampa Project
Regions Bank issued a $47.3 million construction loan for the property.

Woodfield Development has broken ground on Connerton Apartments, a 270-unit community in Land O’Lakes, Fla., and part of the Connerton master-planned project. First deliveries at the property are slated for the second quarter of 2028.
Regions Bank issued a $47.3 million construction loan for the property back in December, according to Yardi Matrix information.
Woodfield Development bought the almost 18-acre site in December of last year. Partners on the project include Summit as general contractor and Dynamik Design as architect of record and interior designer.

Located at 21162 Sandhill Ridge Drive, the property will rise just off U.S. Route 41. A Publix supermarket, The Groves Golf and Country Club, a few dining options and two parks are all within 3 miles of the site. Moreover, the property will be 5 miles from Speros, a future 775-acre life sciences district. Tampa, Fla., is roughly 25 miles south.
A new Tampa community underway
The unit mix at Connerton Apartments will include one-, two- and three-bedroom residences with floorplans ranging from 773 to 1,519 square feet. Additionally, the project will comprise six carriage homes and 12 townhomes. All units will have in-unit washer/dryers.
The pet-friendly property will feature a swimming pool, coworking center, 24-hour fitness center, community lounge, pickleball court, pet spa and grill stations, among other top multifamily amenities.
Another community to also break ground this quarter in the Tampa area is the 381-unit Alta Roosevelt in St. Petersburg, Fla. Wood Partners secured approvals for the project under Florida’s Live Local Act. The property will take shape on roughly 12 acres and is set to come online in 2028.
