Southwood Realty Picks Up $41M Charlotte Community
The property came online in 2017.

Southwood Realty has bought Laurel View Apartments, a 174-unit community in metro Charlotte, N.C. Gamma Real Estate sold the property for $41.39 million, or roughly $237,874 per unit. Northmarq represented the seller.
The price tag was 13.9 percent above the metro-wide per-unit figure recorded in 2025. Last year, assets across Charlotte traded for $208,936 on average, according to a recent Yardi Matrix report.
Gamma Real Estate acquired the asset for $29.5 million in 2019, the same data provider shows.
Located at 350 Joshua Place in Concord, N.C., Laurel View Apartments came online in 2017. It comprises one- to three-bedroom units across seven three-story buildings on 11 acres. Floorplans range from 816 to 1,303 square feet.
All units include washers and dryers, microwaves, walk-in closets and patios or balconies. Shared amenities at the pet-friendly community include a swimming pool, a spa, a clubhouse, a cyber café, a fire pit and a car wash station. In addition, the community has 318 parking spaces.
The property is northeast of a Publix supermarket and within 1 mile of multiple dining options. Downtown Charlotte is some 22 miles southwest.
Northmarq ranked fourth last year among the top multifamily brokers. Its team on this sale comprised Regional Managing Director Andrea Howard, Managing Directors John Currin and Jeff Glen, Senior Vice President Austin Jackson and Vice President James Dorsett.
