Greystar Delivers BTR Community in Suburban Atlanta

Greystar has completed Summerwell Parkway Village, a 282-unit single-family rental community in Union City, Ga. The project broke ground in 2023, according to Yardi Matrix information.

The 42-acre property consists of 51 two- and three-story buildings. The units have three- and four-bedroom layouts ranging between 1,500 and 1,885 square feet.

Summerway Parkwell Village features electronic locks and thermostats, as well as washers and dryers. Additionally, each townhouse has its own two-car garage. The community also includes a swimming pool with sun deck, fitness center, clubhouse, dog park and playground.

Located at 5505 Southwood Road just off Highway 92, the property is some 21 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. The community has access to several dining and retail options, such as the Publix Super Market at Parkway Village.

Suburban Atlanta’s single-family rental footprint will expand with the addition of City Walk at Sugar Hill, a Class A, 132-unit development. A joint venture of PCCP and FIDES Development announced in August the planning of the ground-up townhouses, slated for delivery in May 2026.

Atlanta ranked third nationally for built-to-rent completions in 2023, with 1,981 units coming online. The metro followed Dallas (2,694 units) and Phoenix (4,030), but was ahead of markets such as Austin (840 units), Charlotte (714) and Nashville (537).
