The building, which is managed by RMK Management Corp., also recently passed the 60 percent leased threshold.

“We included many eco-friendly features in 73 East Lake because we know green living is not only important to us as a developer and property manager, but also to our residents,” says Anthony Rossi, Sr., president, RMK Management. “I think this thoughtful design—which is evident not only in the eco-friendly features, but also in the apartment design and amenities—is one of the factors that has contributed to the fast pace of leasing the property.”

The Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB)-designed building totals 332 units that range in size from 682 to 1,246 square feet and are offered in convertible/studio and one- and two-bedroom floor plans.

Units include high-end interior finishes include stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, hardwood flooring and a full-sized, in-unit washer and dryer. Additional architectural and built-in features include 9-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as technology-oriented features such as built-in flat panel televisions supports with cable management, raised power outlets and pre-wired high-speed Internet in all rooms with Cat 6 Ethernet cable, as well as Wi-Fi that is available throughout the building.

“When selecting the finishes for 73 East Lake, we wanted to ensure it stood apart from other luxury towers, which is why we included unexpected touches like the movable kitchen island, and the opaque glass sliding partition in the convertibles to separate the sleeping space from the entertaining area,” Rossi says. “Technology is such an integral part of our everyday lives, so we wanted to have the most up-to-date tech features with flexible options for our residents.”

73 East Lake includes three floors of amenities. The 9th and 10th floors include an indoor pool, an oversized spa with waterfall, sauna and steam rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness gym with separate fitness room that is outfitted with a Fitness on Request kiosk, as well as a Core Fitness studio. Rounding out those floors’ amenities is the business center, two conference rooms, a cyber café, a demonstration kitchen, a theater, a sundeck with cabanas and barbecue areas and a heated and covered dog run with separate pet spa.

The highlight amenity is the Sky Lounge, which is located on the 42nd floor and vaunts a 2,000-square-foot event room with 18-foot ceilings, a private formal dining room and a wrap-around terrace that offers views of Lake Michigan and Millennium Park.

“These amenities were designed with the well-rounded urban dweller in mind,” Rossi says. “Whether working, playing, entertaining, keeping fit or spending time with a pet, the options fit any lifestyle. It’s the perfect blend of luxury and green living.”
