58-Unit Townhome Community in Suburban Chicago Nearly Sold Out

Wheeling, Ill.–Willow Place, a community of 58 townhomes in northwest-suburban Wheeling, has entered the final sell-out phase. Eight units now remain.

Located on the south side of Wheeling, at Foster and Old Willow roads, Willow Place offers two floor plans ranging from 1,858 to 2,157 square feet. Base-priced from $266,990 to $289,990, the three-story units come standard with three bedrooms, two baths and attached two-car garages. Options allow for additional bedrooms and bathrooms.

“Our final homebuyers at Willow Place still have a lot of choice, though we are nearing the completion of the community,” says Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes, which developed the project. “Buyers can choose one of our immediate delivery homes or can buy one of our models, all of which were decorated and finished by our design team. Or, buyers who wish to choose the finishes for their homes can make those selections if they purchase before the end of March. However, all of these final homes will be ready for move-in by June.”

Willow Place is offering an incentive of $8,000 toward options. Additionally, buyers who purchase by April 30 and close by June 30 can take advantage of the Homebuyer Tax Credit, which allows for an $8,000 tax credit for first time buyers and a $6,500 tax credit for buyers who currently own a home.

In the final sell-out phase, buyers can still choose from both floor plans offered at Willow Place. The Chestnut is a 1,858-square-foot home that is base-priced from $266,990. It includes three bedrooms and two baths.

“This home is perfect for young professionals and young families who are looking for the type of sophisticated townhome you’d find in the city, but at a much lower price,” says Benach. “This home has all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price.”

Entering through the front entry, a half-flight of stairs leads down to a finished lower level with expansive, deep-silled windows that line one wall. “This level is perfect as a home theater room or play room and is a great gathering space for family and friends,” said Benach.

A half-flight upstairs from the front entry, the main level includes an open living room and dining room, a powder room, laundry room and an oversized balcony off of the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinetry and a built-in buffet, which buyers will appreciate due to the extra serving and storage area it provides, said Benach. The kitchen also includes a pass-thru with breakfast bar.

The second floor plan is the 2,157-square-foot Hickory, an end unit that features a side entrance and mostly single-level living. Priced from $289,990, the Hickory includes three bedrooms, two baths and a loft.
“Downsizers and empty nesters are especially drawn to this design as it conveniently places the bedroom, kitchen and main living areas on the same level, reducing the need to go up and down stairs,” says Benach.

On the upper level, a large loft overlooks the main living areas and is ideal as a den or home office. Two secondary bedrooms and a full bath are located on this level as well.
