Ryan Companies US Inc. is teaming with Grand Living to develop Grand Living at Lakewood, a $50 million, 172-unit senior housing community in Sarasota, Fla.
The project represents the third senior living facility that the joint venture has teamed on in the state of Florida, joining Grand Living Citrus Hills in North Tampa and Grand Living Tamaya in Jacksonville, both of which started construction in 2017.
“We’re excited to be bringing a Grand Living Community to Lakewood Ranch,” Eric Anderson, Ryan Companies Senior Living’s vice president, development, said. “Aside from the one-of-a-kind amenities offered, what differentiates Grand Living is the lifestyle and service offerings they bring to the market.”
Grand Living at Lakewood Ranch will feature studios to two-bedroom apartment homes, and offer independent living, assisted living and memory care services. All units offer the ability for residents to age-in-place for the independent and assisted units.
“We view all Grand Living projects as high-end hotels with health care,” Anderson said.
Amenities include multiple dining venues, a performance theater, the Grand Spa and Salon, an outdoor pool, club room and library.
Located at the southeast corner of University Parkway and Lorraine Road, in the Lakewood Ranch master development in Sarasota, the community will be situated near the new Publix that is currently being built, as well as the Sarasota Polo Club.
The new community is anticipated to open in the summer of 2019. A sales center will open this fall.
