$120M Senior Housing Opens in LA
C.W. Driver developed Fountainview at Gonda West, a 460,000-square-foot development in Playa Vista that will serve more than 250 seniors with a full range of active living, healthcare and in-home services.

C.W. Driver Companies has constructed Fountainview at Gonda West, a $120 million, 460,000-square-foot luxury senior living community in Los Angeles’ Playa Vista neighborhood, designed to be home for more than 250 seniors.
“Providing a premier facility for seniors to continue to live in as their needs change, we are happy to add Fountainview at Gonda West to our list of reputable projects that are a testament to C.W. Driver Companies’ unmatched expertise in senior housing,” Dana Roberts, C.W. Driver Companies’ CEO, said. “Playa Vista’s bustling retail and entertainment activity will provide residents with unmatched local amenities, but this also presented a construction challenge. Through scheduled deliveries and constant communication with all project team members, we were able to diminish disruption to the surrounding area.”
The company also built the 257-space subterranean parking garage, which includes integrated sustainability components such as solar panels and a system that uses reclaimed water for landscaping.
A look at the units
Located at 12490 Fielding Circle, the new community consists of 199 units, 175 of which are designed for individual living. The other 24 units are for those in need of assisted living and memory care. It consists of one- and two-bedroom units range from 840 to 2,380 square feet with all units containing full kitchens, laundry appliances and open-air terraces.
Amenities include a salon, massage room, card room and art room, fitness center, library, screening room, a ground-floor café and an accessible rooftop deck with both a swimming pool and spa.
Fountainview at Gonda West is sponsored by The Los Angeles Jewish Home. As a Jewish Home for the Aging’s Continuing Care Retirement Community, it will offer a full range of active living, healthcare and in-home services.

C.W. Driver Companies has also constructed other Jewish Home for the Aging senior communities in the area, including the Grancell Goldberg Ziman Special Care Center in Reseda, the Belmont Senior Living facility in West Los Angeles, and Welbrook Senior Living in Torrance.
