Chicago—Urban Innovations has promoted Kim Sisney from Director of Operations to Vice President of Operations. Sisney’s duties will consist of management and oversight for all aspects of Urban Innovations’ affordable housing operations. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing Area Managers and Facility Maintenance Managers; administration, financial performance and maintenance of the properties; and insurance claim management. She will also work on requests for reimbursement from replacement reserves, compliance with local regulations and codes and management of vendor contracts and national contracts.
“We have been transitioning Kim into this role for the last 12 months and she has risen to the challenge,” said Mike Scilingo, Urban Innovations President. “She has been dedicated and diligent in her work with the Area Managers and Property Managers to improve the portfolio and add structure where it was lacking. Urban Innovations is lucky to have such an asset.”
Sisney has been in the real estate industry for more than 20 years. She has worked in on-site management as well as in asset management and contract administration with the Illinois Housing Development Authority. She holds several designations with National Center for Housing Management (NCHM) and earned her Certified Property Manager designation in 2002 from the Institute of Real Estate Management where she served as the 2012 President and is currently serving on the Governing Council, the Diversity Advisory Board, Federal Housing Advisory Board and Ethics Committee. She is also a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, and holds a Real Estate Brokers License from the State of Illinois.
