The 382-unit development, which is currently under construction, is located at 525 North Federal Highway and will offer 22,476 square feet of retail space. CBRE Associates Danny Diaz and Jerry Busbee have been selected as the leasing agents for the property.
“This is the newest retail project on North Federal Highway and one of the only projects that is part of an apartment complex south of Sunrise Boulevard,” Diaz says. “The built-in customer base will create a steady flow of repeat business for retailers.”
The community is among a handful of other infill developments going on in Fort Lauderdale’s central business district, and those developments are expected to bring 4,300 new units to the area within the next five years, which has the potential to double the population of the area and could attract national retail tenants to the space.
Flagler Village, which is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2014, will feature two seven-story residential buildings dotted with courtyards that will surround a seven-story, precast parking structure, according to a press release issued by CBRE. The community will offer studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. The retail section will be accessible through access points on N.E. 5th Street and N.E. 6th Street.
