Our expert panel will share insights about a variety of trends shaping the apartment market including:

• Hospitality-inspired amenity spaces and outdoor lounge areas that create a sense of community
• What green materials and finishes matter most to today’s renters
• The wireless leasing office transitions to hip lounge
• How to satisfy Gen Y’s craving for customization
• Why you need to keep an eye on student housing trends.

Meet the panel:

Navid Maqami AIA, LEED AP, is a Principal at Perkins Eastman, the award-winning firm that won a 2013 MHN Excellence Award—Adaptive Reuse Category—for the brilliant transformation of an 18th century shoe factory into 220 Water Street, a desirable DUMBO apartment asset developed by GDC Properties. Maqami has focused on multifamily, mixed-use and urban retail projects. Communication of brand, design quality, contextual responsiveness, and environmental compliance are central to his work.

Rob Neiffer is Director of Asset Management at Invesco whose new Instrata Lifestyle concept is bringing condominium-caliber design, finishes, amenities and services to rental developments in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Invesco’s portfolio of top-tier apartments includes the top portion of Mercedes House, designed by Enrique Norten of TEN Arquitectos for developer Two Trees Management.

Diana Mosher, Editorial Director of MHN, has been covering the multifamily market since 2005
