- Dec 04, 2020
Woodfield Development has sold Station on Silver, an apartment community in Herndon, Va. Situated at 2340 Carta Way, the 400-unit property built in 2018 features six stories, wood frame construction and elevator service.
Its one- and two-bedroom apartments range in size from 551 to 1,154 square feet. Features and finishes of units include above-average ceiling heights, European-style cabinetry, quartz vanities, stainless steel appliances and in-unit washers and dryers. Topping a list of common-area amenities is a rooftop deck with an outdoor kitchen, bar and dramatic Blue Ridge Mountain views.
Station on Silver is a component of a 63-acre urbanized live-work-play community within walking distance of the Innovation Center station on the Metro’s Silver Line. It is located at the heart of a transit-oriented community featuring excellent public transportation and vehicular access to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Nearby job centers include Reston Town Center with 26.1 million square feet of office space and Tysons Corner with 22.7 million square feet of office space. Also conveniently accessible is the Rossalyn-Ballston Corridor with 12 million square feet of office space. It is proximate to Inova Health System’s Merrifield Research and Development Campus, undergoing a five million-square-foot expansion of its Inova Center for Personalized Health.
Two universities and a community college are within 19 minutes drive time. Village Center at Dulles, Worldgate Centre and Herndon Parkway Crossing serve the shopping needs of Station on Silver residents.
The JLL Capital Markets team representing the seller was led by Walter Coker and Brian Crivella, managing directors, and Robert Jenkins, director. Last July, Woodfield Development secured a construction loan for the development of Sorrento, a 306-unit community in Reston, Va.
