Victor Group, Lendlease Top Out on NYC Skyscraper
- Mar 22, 2018
Developers Victor Group and Lendlease have topped out on 277 Fifth Avenue, one of the tallest towers in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan. At 663 feet, the 55-story ultra-luxury residential skyscraper will accommodate 130 one- to four-bedroom apartments.
Located at the at the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 30th Street, the property is situated three blocks from Madison Square Park, with three metro stations within easy reach. The tower was designed by architect Rafael Viñoly, with interiors by Jeffrey Beers International and Shokai as preferred equity investor. The modern condominium skyscraper’s design pays tribute to the surrounding buildings’ 1940s architecture.
Reshaping the NoMad Skyline
With a relatively small built-up area, the designers were able to move the structure of the building to the outer edges, resulting in a column-free layout, offering flexibility in terms of interior division. The tower also features high-performance cast panels facades, floor-to-ceiling windows and four double-height, open-air loggias for leisure activities. The first loggia residence is listed for $9.2 million. Three four-bedroom penthouses with 13-foot ceiling heights top the structure.
Common amenities at 277 Fifth Avenue will include:
- full-time doorman/concierge
- fitness club
- yoga studio
- spa with steam/sauna rooms
- double-height lobby library
- games lounge
- kids’ club
- dry cleaning program
“Interest has been very strong at 277 Fifth Avenue due to Viñoly’s signature architecture, the tower’s enviable location in Manhattan’s most sought-after and centrally located neighborhood,” said Melissa Burch, executive vice president of Lendlease, in prepared remarks. “We’re happy to announce that residents will be able to move in this year and begin to enjoy the one-of-a-kind lifestyle of 277 Fifth Avenue.”
