Value Place Opens Virginia Property No. 8

Value Place, the nation’s largest economy extended-stay hotel brand, has announced earlier this month the opening of a new hotel in Virginia Beach. The newly-constructed property is the brand’s eighth hotel in the state of Virginia. Other locations include Chesapeake, Richmond, Gainesville, or Manassas.

Virginia Beach is the location of Value Place’s eighth and newest extended-stay hotel in the state. Developed in partnership with Sandpiper Virginia Beach, L.L.C., the 124-key property debuted on March 2.

Located at 4800 Alicia Drive, near the Virginia Beach Expressway, the four-story hotel offers laundry facilities, high-speed wireless Internet, and modified kitchens. According to the Value Place website, rates start from $259.99 per week.

The Virginia Beach property joins hotels in such cities as Chesapeake, Richmond, Gainesville, Manassas and Fredericksburg, where the seventh Value Place opened last October.

Andy Anderson, Value Place’s executive vice president for business development, noted in a statement that demand for extended-stay hotels is steadily increasing. Value Place, the nation’s largest economy extended-stay hotel brand, has nearly 200 properties open and under development in 35 states. Over the next three years, it plans to buy land and build both company-owned and franchised properties in major markets, including Miami, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland, Ore.
