Houston—Work has started on Alexan Enclave, a 354-unit multifamily development on the west side of Houston, in that city’s Energy Corridor. The Trammell Crow Residential development is slated to open in the spring of 2014.

The Energy Corridor, so-called because of its concentration of large energy-oriented companies, is home to a number of developers fast at work on apartment projects. Besides Trammell Crow, Alliance Residential Co., Allen Harrison Co., Finger Cos. and Simmons Vedder Partners are all at work on projects totaling over 1,000 new units in the area.

The four-story Alexan Enclave will offer one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 651 square feet to 1,552 square feet. The units will feature 10-foot ceilings. The exterior façade will incorporate both brick and stucco, which is in keeping with the architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.

Amenities include a fitness center and a clubhouse equipped with a catering kitchen, gathering area and game room. There will be two swimming pools, and the pet friendly property will also feature a fully fenced dog park and dog wash station.

Dallas-based Trammell Crow Residential, whose roots go deep in Texas, is no stranger to the Houston residential market. In fact, the company is quite busy developing other properties in greater Houston, including Allusion West University, the Muse, Alexan Creekside and Alexan Heights.
