The Residences at W Atlanta-Downtown 50 Percent Sold

Atlanta—The Residences at W Atlanta-Downtown reports that it has sold more than half of its available units. The property’s one-bedroom units are completely sold out, though some two- and three-bedroom homes and two-story penthouses remain unsold. Prices range from two-bedroom apartments beginning at $431,900 up to $898,900 for a three-bedroom unit.
The property’s residential space, which forms the upper floors of the building housing the W Atlanta-Downtown Hotel, was originally rolled out in time to suffer the worst of the recession’s slings and arrows. New York-based Square Miles Capital obtained the note on the hotel and residences from Silverton, after that bank’s failure. About two years ago, the new owners tapped the Marketing Directors to relaunch the residential sales effort to a much more receptive market.
The units offer views of the city and high-end finishes, such as Gaggenau appliances, Dornbracht fixtures, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. Condo residents also have access to hotel amenities, including Bliss Spa, BLT Steak, a heated pool, helipad and other services.
The Marketing Directors’ senior vice president of sales Janis Kirtz tells MHN that many are Atlantans now want in-town living, and others are relocating from other urban centers throughout the country, thus spurring demand for the property. “Most are full-time residents, though some reside at the Residences at W Atlanta-Downtown as their second or third homes,” she says.
“We have a diverse mix of buyers from singles and couples, from their 20s to their 60s,” she adds. “Our buyers are busy people with very active travel, social and professional lives.
