The Habitat Company Hires New Vice President of Operations

The new executive will be in charge of overseeing company-wide building operations.

JackDevedjianChicago—The Habitat Company, a multifamily property developer and manager, announced that Jack Devedjian has joined the firm as vice president of operations. In his new role, Devedjian will oversee building operations company wide, preventative maintenance and related training program initiatives.

Devedjian brings with him more than 20 years of facilities and property management, strategic planning, project and construction management and process improvement experience. Previously, Devedjian served as senior vice president of real estate development, facilities and capital projects for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago where he directed and supervised the strategy for multi-million dollar capital expenditures, facilities management and maintenance operations. Prior to his tenure with the YMCA, Devedjian served as vice president of facilities and engineering for Tribune Company, overseeing all key national facilities functions, including maintenance, security, engineering, environmental health/safety and capital projects across the company.

Devedjian holds a master’s degree in construction and project management from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
